          Facebook is most widely used social media channel. A personal Facebook profile should not be used for promotion. A Facebook fan page needs to be created for carrying out business activities. A  Company’s Facebook fan page helps in:

Facebook ads can be targeted based on demographic criteria such as location, profession, industry, age, income etc.

Linkedin
          We can create LinkedIn page for lead generation. The page tells the visitors who we are, what the company does, and why one should choose us.  The page should be optimized with the keywords that visitors use to search on LinkedIn.  General tabs to be included in company page are “Products”, “Careers”, and “Insights”.  Optimize the “Products” tab to make it searchable by the users. Through LinkedIn:
Ø Add videos , customer testimonials  and  other media  to the product pages for engaging  the  visitors.
Ø  Sponsored posts and ads which enable to put paid promotions behind status updates. These updates are visible to followers and targeted customers outside our LinkedIn network.

          The information found on LinkedIn profile of the customer is helpful for businesses. This information includes the data we require from customers such as designation, job profile, company, industry, location etc. The company can customize ads that can be textual ads, images, or video ads for the customers. Adding an image can bring more visitors to our LinkedIn page.



Twitter
          Though twitter, company  can generate leads and thought leaders discuss the topic relevant to the industry. Through twitter:

We will lose visitors if the website is busy or takes much time to load.  The website should be characterized by the following:
Ø Easy to read:  Font must be easy to read without any distraction.
Ø Avoid bulky section: Visitors generally skip the long, bulky paragraphs. Break the content into smaller paragraphs. 
Ø Menu items should be clear:  Menu items should clearly indicate that to what kind of content it will  navigate the visitors.
Ø Easy to contact our business : If visitors want to contact our business, there should be easy accessibility to the contact us page along with  sufficient contact information.
Ø Finding owners and employees of the company: Visitors may be interested in knowing who are the persons behind the business. The information about the  Founders, Directors and  CXO officials can be included in the website.  
Ø Customer personally feels connected: Through story-telling, we can make customers to feel  connected with the  website. Connection can be created by being honest,  conversational writing style and including the customer testimonials.  
Ø Written content is corporate or conversational:  Write content  in engaging, conversational style.
Ø Appealing offers:  We can offer real tips, special deals, discounts and  actionable advice  by convincing them to provide their  information .
Ø Presence of multimedia: Multimedia  added to the website make visitors to engage  with website for  longer time. Podcasts , tutorials, videos, as well as  other multimedia choices  enable  us to  send our message in more appealing way.
Ø  Links to social media: Social media enable us  to  communicate  with our prospective clients, and also enabling them to communicate with each other. We can include link of company’s website to company’s blog, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media accounts.

E-mail Marketing
          E-mail marketing involves sending an e-mail for communicating the promotional message to the target and prospective customers. Through E-mails we can:
Ø  Send people valuable offers likes educational content, discounts, or downloads which make people to share our emails with others.
Ø Give sharing tool. Add “Forward to a Friend” link or social media sharing buttons within each email so people are encouraged to share with others.

Videos can be created describing our IT services and solutions . And those videos can be incorporated in our websites and other video sharing channels like youtube, vimeo etc. Video marketing helps in:

Wireless Communication

A process of sending a message or information to one or more locations without any physical connectivity is known as Wireless Communication. Wireless communication helps in information transmission for a long distance while cables, wires, and other forms of electrical conductors remain absent. The transmission distance can range from a few meters to millions of kilometers.

An electromagnetic wireless telecommunications technique (e.g. radio) is widely used for wireless communication. Radio waves are useful for few meters to long distance transmissions.  It covers different kind of portable, mobile and fixed applications, which include wireless networking, personal digital assistants (PDAs), cellular telephones and two-way radios. Other applications of radio waves technology are cordless telephones, broadcast television, radio receivers, satellite television, headphonesheadsetskeyboards, wireless computer micegarage door openers and GPS units. Other method for wireless communication includes the usage of sound, light, electric or magnetic fields.

Wireless communication can be achieved through various wireless equipments. Few wireless types of equipment are:  Mobiles, GPS units, Cellular telephones and pagers, Cordless telephone sets, cordless computer peripherals, radio navigation equipment, Amateur Radio Service, Professional SMR (Specialized Mobile Radio) and LMR (Land Mobile Radio), Ultrasonic and infrared remote control devices,  Traffic control and telemetry control systems.
Advantages:

  1. Information can be conveyed to the consumers quickly.
  2. It helps working professionals to have an access of Internet anytime and anywhere without the need of carrying wires or cables. Thereby resulting in completing the task anywhere on time with improved productivity.
  3. Professionals, doctors and workers in remote areas can have access of medical centres via wireless communication.
  4. Wireless communication facilitates in giving alerts for the emergency and urgent situations.
  5. Wireless networks can be installed and maintained at low-cost.
Disadvantages:
In addition to advantages, wireless communication also comes with various threats. It has associated various security issues for the users. Hackers can intrude into the wireless signals that are present in the surroundings. Security of wireless networks is very important to prevent the information exploitation by unauthorized users. For securing the wireless signals, strong security protocols like WPA, WPA2 are required.

Conclusion:
Wireless communications has shown the fastest growth in the communications industry. In the last decade, cellular systems exhibited exponential growth with around 2 billion users worldwide at present. Besides this, wireless local area networks are supplementing or replacing wired networks in businesses, homes and campuses. Many applications such as smart homes and appliances, wireless sensor networks, factories, remote telemedicine and automated highways are emerging from research ideas to concrete systems. The extensive growth of wireless systems along with rapid increase in palmtop and laptop computers signals great scope for wireless networks, both as part of the larger networking infrastructure and as stand-alone systems. Several technical challenges exist in designing sturdy wireless networks which can give the performance required for support. The existing gap between present and new upcoming systems and the expectations from wireless applications signal that a lot of work needs to be done for meeting the expectations.

Testbook



The swift swing in education sector of the country has given it an enormous leap. From learning, to preparations and test taking everything has secured the online space. Initiated by a group of IITians, Testbook.com was started with a vision to make education accessible and affordable to students from all walks of life.The core team consists of Ashutosh Kumar, Narendra Agrawal, Manoj Munna and Praveen Agrawal, IIT Bombay alumni, and Yadvendra Champawat and Abhishek Sagar, IIT Delhi alumni.
Started in January 2014 with a short term goal of helping students to crack GATE exams which shifted from offline to online pattern without any prewarnings. Such a radical change leads to the desperate need for betterment in preparation methodology too. It was this that encouraged us to help students through various online tests. Out of the 23 courses in GATE, 6 major courses which are attempted by majority of students were selected. And therefore in order to provide the best quality content in a very short span, we approached top 30 scorers of GATE from IIT Bombay and requested them to volunteer. With this the first mock test was launched and was availed to students for FREE; 25k students benefitted themselves within a month.
With most of the entrance exams shifting from conventional paper based method to online pattern, we expanded our horizons to exams such as CAT, SBI PO, SBI Clerk, IBPS PO and added GK, current affairs and aptitude, outreaching 55,000 student by October 2014. To cater to the enormous requests from students all over the country along with our drive to constantly improve, we equipped ourselves by raising a seed fund of 1.5 Crores from Letsventure and Ah Ventures.
With a thought that more and more students can have the access to easy preparation, we also launched the android app. Testbook is now helping students to achieve their dream jobs by introducing Campus Placement Preparations. With over 4.5 lakh registered users and almost 5 crore questions solved across nation, this February we also launched current affairs app titled “Daily Current Affairs and Quiz”, which focuses on providing easy access to daily news and current affairs. This new app has already crossed more than 1 lakh downloads with a rank under top 3 best apps in education sector in just a month With highly qualified subject matter experts who themselves have cracked major competitive exams, Testbook focuses on delivering quality content along with technologically advanced platform that enables users to solve questions, check answers and explanation. A thorough comprehensive analysis helps students to analyse and track their performance and improve upon their weak sections. We inherited the advanced machine learning technology so that students can have an access to personalized recommendations and suggestions that can enhance their performance accordingly.
With the changing trends in education sector of the country, Testbook is the face of that change.

Team Building Exercise - Testbook

Testbook assigned a task to me to create awareness about Testbook and distribute the learning material.  I chose few students to build the team. I told them about the Testbook and also explained that we are required to aware about Testbook and distribute the learning material.  We arrange table and chairs for our setup. Put posters on wall to attract the attention of the students. One of our team members was personally inviting the students to our desk. This activity boosted my confidence for building the team, influencing and motivating the team members to work together for a common objective. I felt like a team leader. Just commanding and giving instructions to team member will not help in leading the team. As team leader is also a part of an organization, he should lead his team by setting an example through his activities.

Created podcast for Testbook app

I am associated with Testbook as a Campus Leader. The first task assigned to me was podcast creation for Testbook app. Initially, I was little hesitant how it will be done as I was newbie in the field of podcast creation. I attended ADMAD event held on 5th march, 2015 in IIIT-Allahabad to explore ad creation. In that competition, students were given a product to prepare an ad within the given time frame and execute it.
After attending the event, I got some insights to create an effective podcast. Now I was in need of some volunteers. I contacted my batch mate and two of my juniors who remain enthusiastic about the extracurricular activities. I gave briefing about the Testbook app to them. I also explained about the Testbook’s podcast activity. Since they were also new to this field, they were not much confident of completing the activity effectively. Since creativity was god gifted to me, I created the script and read it before them then all the hesitations got broken. The script for podcast acted as a fuel and catalyst to boost their confidence. Now only the performance was left. Both of them read and practice the script very well before the actual performance. I recorded their 3-4 performances and chosen the best one to send to the Testbook.
It was great experience to create the podcast. We were not only doing the podcast activity rather we were enjoying the podcast creation. I gained confidence from this activity that I can take up further podcast creation without any hesitation.
